James is a slim, 24 year old man with long ginger hair, with tufty hair up near his head, with a spiky, downward-pointing ponytail behind him. He typically dawns a dark brown beanie with an arrow stuck into it. He wears a similarly colored sweater with blue jeans, with basic black shoes.

James is a realistic, grumpy, and slightly tempermental man who has to usually take the role to take care of Doe's shenanigans. Despite his sarcastic attitude with Doe, he does show genuine care for his coworker.
Based on how he acted around Layla, James likely has, or did have a crush on Layla.
Background
James and Doe both made their debut trespassing into Bumfunk with the intent to steal Sox for profit, only to soften up and stay to avoid punishment from both their employers and the Bumfunk residents. James acts as a foil to his coworker, Doe, who, throughout the comic series, softened, while James grew progressively hardened. James refuses to reveal his backstory, even when asked, leading us to believe he has some sort of trauma that led him to where he is now. James began as a nervous voice of reason, and since being exposed to the harshness of Bumfunk, grew more stern.
